'A VERY BRITISH HISTORY: CHINESE BRITISH', BBC FOUR (2020)

In 1965, a survey found that 31% of British people who regularly dined out had eaten Chinese food. Having found their niche in the late-night food market, Chinese restauranteurs were met with new challenges of difficult working conditions and unsociable hours. In this clip, David Tse recounts life growing up in his family's Chinese takeaway, commenting on the use of offensive and racist language by customers.
